Sainik Institutes of Management & Technology Punjab are being run under the aegis of Directorate of Deffence Services Welfare Punjab with an aim to provide quality education to the Ex-servicemen, widows and their wards in a conducive environment so as to enable them to persue a meaningful career. There is no tuition fee charged for these courses. In this direction, Directorate Defence Services Welfare Punjab has done extensive work in establishing fully equipped Computer Labs, Seminar Halls & Libraries at all the Campuses. Each Institute is headed by an Ex Army Officer of the rank of Cornel, who has vast experience in Management & Administration..

The objective of the Technical Institutions (Sainik Institutes of Management & Technology) run under the aegis of Defence Services Welfare Punjab is to provide quality education to the Ex-servicemen, widows and their wards in a conductive environment so as to enable them to pursue a meaningful career. There is no tuition fee charged for these courses. In this direction Directorate, Defence Services Welfare Punjab has done extensive work in establishing fully equipped Computer Labs, Seminar Rooms and Libraries at all the Campuses. Each Institute is headed by an Ex Army Officer of the rank of Colonel, who has vast experience in management & administration. These Institutes are known for discipline and preparing the students for challenges in the fast changing milieu of IT related Industry. Besides course curriculum, emphasis is laid on overall development, honing of soft skills, educational tours and interaction with prominent personalities by way of guest lectures. A special cell for the placement of students would also be opened under the existing Employment Monitoring Cell. I assure each one of you of our resolve to provide the best infrastructure and education facilities.
